Cross-linking of either one-component or two component RTV silicone systems at room temperature may be accelerated by the use of catalysts at low levels. The catalyst usually is PowerCat™ DBTDL and PowerCat™ DBTDA. The rate of crosslinking is a function of catalyst concentration and its chemical nature. PowerCat™ DBTDA is Dibutyltin Diacetate with CAS No. 1067-33-0. PowerCat™ DBTDL is Dibutyltin Dilaurate with CAS No. 77-58-7.
Catalyzed systems by SiSiB, a reliable silicone oil manufacturer, are especially useful in forming a quick dry skin that is often desirable in outdoor application where the weather and elements cannot be controlled.
Platinum complex catalyst PowerCat™ PT1000, PT3000 and PT5000 is a reactive organo-platinum complex dispersed in polysiloxane. It is high stability platinum formulation with low chroma and turbidity.
Platinum complex catalyst promotes the hydrosilylation reaction in addition cure silicone systems at elevated temperature, with a long pot life at room temperature. It also promotes a quick, low temperature curing in the formation of silicone elastomers.
SiSiB provides a variety of high-quality tin catalyst and platinum complex catalyst to meet the various needs of full solution in the elastomer industry. PowerCat™ series catalysts are manufactured by our sister company TinToll Performance Materials Co., Ltd.
