Nanjing SiSiB Silicones Co., Ltd.

SiSiB is worldwide leading manufacturer of organosilanes for over 30 years. SiSiB vinyl silanes, also called vinyl silane or ethenyl silane. SiSiB vinyl silanes are bifunctional organsilanes with a reactive vinyl group and hydrolysable inorganic trialkoxysilyl groups. The dual nature of their reactivity allows SiSiB vinyl silanes to bind chemically to both inorganic materials (such as glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (such as thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers), thereby functioning as a crosslinking agent, adhesion promoter and surface modifier.

Vinyl silanes by SiSiB, a reliable silicone producer, can be used to improve the adhesive performance of glass fiber. After treated with Vinyl silane, the mechanical strength, electrical, water resistance and weather resistance of glass fiber reinforced composites can be greatly improved. Even in the wet condition, the effect of improving the mechanical properties of composites is very significant.

SiSiB vinyl silanes can be used to improve the compatibility of fillers with polymers, provide better dispersibility, reduced melt viscosity and easier processing of filled plastics, thereby improving mechanical and electrical properties especially after exposure to moisture

SiSiB vinyl silanes can improve the bonding strength, water resistance, high temperature resistance and weather resistance of sealants, adhesives and coatings.

SiSiB vinyl silane can be used as adhesive promoter for polyolefin (such as polyethylene, polypropylene) and special rubber (silicone rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, neoprene, fluorine rubber) which are difficult to stick.

SiSiB® PC6110 (Vinyltrimethoxysilane, VTMO, CAS 2768-02-7) is the most popular vinyl silane. SiSiB® PC6110 is suitable for the preparation of moisture-curing polymers, e.g. polyethylene. SiSiB also provides multi-component vinyl silane crosslinking systems and dry silane masterbatches to meet customer demand. Multi-component vinyl silane systems are formulated by vinyl silane, peroxide, catalyst and additives. SiSiB dry silane masterbatches will adsorb liquid silane, additives, initiators and catalysts into porous resins (usually polypropylene, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), high or low density polyethylene). The dry silane masterbatches are available with different silane loadings in the range 40% to 70% (wt).

SiSiB® PC6110 vinyltrimethoxysilane is used as a co-monomer for the preparation of different polymers such as polyethylene or acrylics. Those polymers show an improved adhesion to inorganic surfaces and they can also be crosslinked with moisture.

SiSiB® PC6110 reacts rapidly with water, it is used as moisture scavenger during the production of silane-crosslinking adhesive and sealant formulations.
