SiSiB is a leading manufacturer of silanes and silicones in the world with more than 30 years’ history. Silicone gum is an un-vulcanized (crosslinked) basic polysiloxane. It is a kind of linear polysiloxane with high molecular weight. SiSiB silicone gum has been especially designed to manufacture HTV silicone rubber, pigment masterbatch, siloxane masterbatch.
When the vulcanizing high temp silicone rubber developed in the 1940s, it was only a linear polydimethylsiloxane with high molecular weight, and contained no other active organic groups in the molecule. Although it has a series of characteristics such as high and low temperature resistance, aging resistance, and excellent electrical properties of organosilicon materials, its vulcanization activity is poor, compression set is large, physical and mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance are not as good as many synthetics rubber.
With the development of technology, the above-mentioned properties of gum silicone rubber have been greatly improved by introducing other organic silane groups. For example, the introduction of phenyl group can improve the cold resistance and radiation resistance of silicone rubber; the introduction of trifluoropropyl group can improve the oil resistance and solvent resistance of silicone rubber; the introduction of vinyl group can improve the physical and mechanical properties and reactivity.
SiSiB® SG605X and SG606X are methyl vinyl silicone gum, which introduced with vinyl groups. The introduction of vinyl group increases the vulcanization activity, and make it is possible to be vulcanized in hot air, which expands its application fields. At the same time, silicone rubber with vinyl group by SiSiB, a professional silicone and silane supplier, can not only be vulcanized with peroxide, but also can be vulcanized by platinum catalyst. The vinyl content methyl vinyl silicone rubber can increase the resilience, reduce its compression set due to the increased crosslinking density.
SiSiB provides a variety of methyl silicone gum, methyl vinyl silicone gum, vinyl phenyl silicone gum and fluoro silicone gum.
