Amodimethicones

SiSiB® Amodimethicone is a range of amino-functional silicone fluids specially developed for hair care and personal care applications. By incorporating amino-functional groups into the silicone polymer structure, the product delivers enhanced conditioning performance, selective deposition, and long-lasting softness compared with conventional dimethicone fluids.

SiSiB® Amodimethicone is widely used in shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, leave-in treatments, styling products, and damaged hair care formulations. It helps improve wet and dry combing, reduce static and flyaway, enhance softness and smoothness, and provide a healthy, glossy appearance to the hair. Due to its selective affinity toward damaged areas of the hair fiber, the product can deliver effective conditioning while minimizing excessive buildup and heaviness.

The product series is available in different forms and viscosities, including microemulsions and emulsified systems, allowing formulators to optimize sensory performance and formulation compatibility for a wide range of personal care products. SiSiB® Amodimethicone also demonstrates good compatibility with common conditioning agents, surfactants, and cosmetic ingredients, supporting formulation stability and ease of incorporation.

In addition to hair care applications, selected grades may also be used in skin care and specialty personal care formulations where a smooth, silky after-feel and improved sensory performance are desired.

Certain grades are designed to meet current global regulatory expectations, including low cyclic siloxane content requirements related to D4, D5, and D6 for the European market. Selected products can also support formulations intended to comply with relevant REACH requirements and evolving cosmetic regulatory standards.
