Epoxy Modified Silicone Resin

SiSiB® Epoxy Modified Silicone Resin is a reactive organosiloxane resin combining silicone backbone structures with epoxy functionality to provide improved adhesion, chemical resistance, flexibility, and surface performance. Compared with conventional silicone resins, epoxy-modified systems generally exhibit enhanced substrate adhesion, better compatibility with organic resin systems, and improved curing reactivity in crosslinking formulations.

The incorporation of epoxy functionality helps improve adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, and various inorganic substrates, while silicone structures contribute to weatherability, hydrophobicity, thermal stability, slip properties, and long-term environmental durability. Depending on formulation design, selected grades can provide balanced hardness, flexibility, gloss retention, and corrosion resistance.

Epoxy modified silicone resin technologies are suitable for protective coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, heat-resistant coatings, industrial bake coatings, release systems, specialty inks, electronic materials, and silicone-organic hybrid formulations.
