SiSiB® Resin Intermediate includes both solid silanol-functional silicone intermediates and solventless methoxy-functional liquid silicone resin intermediates designed for co-condensation, reactive blending, and hybrid modification with organic resin systems.
Depending on molecular structure and functionality, selected grades are compatible with acrylic, polyester, epoxy, alkyd, and other organic binders, helping improve weatherability, gloss retention, color retention, thermal stability, and long-term coating durability.
Compared with conventional organic resin systems, silicone resin intermediates can introduce silicone structures into hybrid coatings to enhance heat resistance, hydrophobicity, weather resistance, flexibility, and environmental durability. Certain grades are particularly suitable for air-drying silicone alkyd systems, while liquid methoxy-functional systems can serve as reactive diluents for low-VOC high-temperature coating formulations with improved processing and coating integrity.
