Dimethicone

SiSiB® Dimethicone is a versatile range of high-performance polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluids developed for personal care and cosmetic applications. Known for their excellent spreading behavior, silky sensory profile, lubricity, and water repellency, these silicone fluids are widely used to enhance the appearance, texture, and overall performance of modern cosmetic formulations.

SiSiB® Dimethicone can impart a smooth, soft, and non-greasy feel to skin and hair while improving slip, gloss, and ease of application. In skin care formulations, it helps create a protective and breathable barrier that improves skin feel and reduces tackiness. In hair care products, it contributes to softness, conditioning, shine enhancement, frizz control, and improved wet and dry combing performance. In color cosmetics and sun care applications, it can improve spreadability, pigment uniformity, long-lasting performance, and water resistance.

The product range is available in a broad selection of viscosities, allowing formulators to tailor sensory characteristics and functionality for different applications, from light and elegant textures to rich conditioning effects. Selected grades are designed to comply with current EU regulatory expectations regarding low levels of cyclic siloxanes D4, D5, and D6, making them suitable for formulations targeting the European personal care market. Certain grades can also support compliance with relevant REACH requirements and evolving global regulatory standards for cosmetic and personal care applications.
