PMS Polymethylsilsesquioxane

SiSiB® PMS Polymethylsilsesquioxane is a highly crosslinked organosiloxane material designed to provide excellent thermal stability, surface smoothness, slip performance, hydrophobicity, durability, and optical diffusion performance. Depending on particle size, structure, and formulation design, selected grades can improve scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, anti-blocking behavior, soft-touch performance, powder flowability, and light diffusion properties in various industrial and cosmetic systems.

Compared with conventional organic powders and wax additives, PMS technologies generally exhibit lower surface energy, better thermal stability, improved weatherability, and excellent compatibility with silicone-based formulations. Certain grades are designed to provide matting effects, silky skin feel, sebum absorption, soft-focus optical properties, and uniform light diffusion performance in personal care, optical, and specialty applications.

Different PMS technologies are suitable for coatings, inks, plastics, silicone elastomers, release systems, powder coatings, cosmetics, optical diffusion materials, and specialty additives. Selected grades are widely used to improve slip, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, tactile properties, light diffusion performance, and processing stability in demanding formulations.
