SiSiB SILICONES successfully participated in in-cosmetics Asia 2025, held in Bangkok from November 4 to 6. As a long-term supplier of silicone raw materials for personal care, SiSiB used this platform to present a focused message: high performance, better sensoriality, and cost efficiency no longer need to be trade-offs.
At the exhibition, we showcased a comprehensive silicone ingredient system covering:
Dimethicone, Volatile Silicones, Gum Blends, Silicone Elastomers, Functional Silicones, Silicone Resins, Silicone Emulsions, Emulsifiers, and Silicone Waxes.
Rather than displaying breadth alone, we highlighted practical formulation solutions designed for modern sun care and long-wear cosmetics.
Boosting SPF Without Compromising Sensory Feel
As the sun care and color cosmetics markets continue to push toward higher SPF values and improved aesthetics, high-refractive-index phenyl silicones have become key formulation tools. Their ability to solubilize UV filters, enhance optical clarity, and reduce whitening makes them indispensable in next-generation formulations.
At in-cosmetics Asia 2025, SiSiB introduced a cost-performance optimized phenyl silicone portfolio, offering formulators greater flexibility and supply-chain stability:
· SiSiB® PC19824 – Diphenyl Dimethicone
Designed for applications requiring high gloss and visual enhancement, this material delivers brilliant shine in lip products, hair serums, and color cosmetics. Its elevated refractive index also contributes to improved color depth and vibrancy.
· SiSiB® PC19825 – Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone
Engineered for excellent compatibility with organic UV filters and oils, this phenyl silicone is particularly effective in SPF boosting formulations, helping increase protection levels while maintaining a light, non-greasy skin feel.
· SiSiB® PC19826 – Phenyl Trimethicone
A classic structure widely used to reduce tackiness and improve slip, making it suitable for both skin and hair care products where balanced sensoriality is essential.
Together, these phenyl silicones enable formulators to enhance SPF efficiency, improve aesthetics, and optimize overall formulation cost.
Balancing Wear Resistance and Comfort
Long-wear cosmetics often face a familiar dilemma: durability versus comfort. At the show, SiSiB presented a dual silicone resin strategy to address this challenge.
· SiSiB® PC11258 – Trimethylsiloxysilicate (Solid Powder)
A high-performance solid silicone resin providing excellent film integrity, water resistance, and transfer resistance, making it ideal for long-lasting foundations, eyeliners, and lip products.
· SiSiB® PC11262 – Low Molecular Weight Liquid Silicone Resin
Developed to overcome the brittleness commonly associated with traditional film formers, this liquid resin reduces film hardness, improves adhesion, and delivers a smooth, non-tacky, and comfortable skin feel, particularly suitable for flexible wear formulations.
This solid-liquid resin combination allows formulators to fine-tune film strength, flexibility, and sensory comfort within the same formulation framework.
In addition to SiSiB’s silicone portfolio, our sister company TINTOLL Specialty participated alongside us, showcasing safe and high-efficiency UV filters. This joint presence reflects a shared vision: enabling customers to access silicones and UV filters together, simplifying sourcing and accelerating formulation development.
Looking ahead, this collaboration allows us to provide the personal care industry with more integrated, one-stop solutions-from UV protection to sensory optimization.
Our participation in in-cosmetics Asia 2025 reaffirmed SiSiB’s commitment to supporting formulators with high-performance, regulation-ready, and cost-effective silicone ingredients.
We look forward to continuing the conversation with global partners and translating material innovation into better-performing, more comfortable personal care products.
