SiSiB® PC3100 is an epoxy-functional silane; it is a clear, light straw liquid. SiSiB® PC3100 may be used as a coupling agent in polysulfide and polyurethane caulks and sealants, in mineral-filled or glass-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics, and in glass roving size-binders.
It is particularly employed as an adhesion-promoting silicone additive in waterborne systems, e.g. improving the adhesion of acrylic latex sealants. SiSiB® PC3100 gamma glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane is the equivalent of Momentive's A-187, Dow's Z-6040, Wacker's GF80, Evonik's Dynasylan GLYMO, ShinEtsu's KBM-403.
