SiSiB® AP1160 is an aqueous solution of 3-Aminopropylsilane. SiSiB® AP1160 hydrolysate is an amino-functional silane which acts as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers)
SiSiB® AP1160 amino silane is a colorless to slightly yellowish aqueous solution with an aminelike odor, miscible, with alcohols or water. SiSiB® AP1160 contains about 40% active silane content in water.

SiSiB® AP1160 is most often used in aqueous systems where the alcohol of hydrolysis causes instability of the formulation or where a high flash point silicone additive is required.
SiSiB® AP1160 is an important additive in Waterborne Sealants, Waterborne Coatings, Waterborne Adhesives, Filler Treatment, Insulation Glass Fiber Binders, and Water based Primers.
SiSiB® AP1160 silanes can improve mechanical properties, (such as flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity), moisture and corrosion resistance); also can improve processing properties, like adhesion, better filler dispersion, high flash point etc.
SiSiB® AP1160 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.
In the unopened original container SiSiB® AP1160 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
