Silicone Leveling Agent

ADDSiL™ 1214 is a polyether-modified polysiloxane surface additive designed for coating formulations.


It shows excellent compatibility with a wide range of coating resins and does not adversely affect recoatability. It provides excellent leveling with a moderate reduction of surface tension, thereby improving substrate wetting and overall film appearance.


ADDSiL™ 1214 can be used in solvent-borne, waterborne, and UV-curable coating systems. In waterborne formulations, it may also contribute to a mild defoaming effect.

Application


  • ADDSiL™ 1214 can be used in solvent-borne, waterborne, and UV-curable coatings, and is particularly suitable for epoxy and radiation-curable systems.

Packing and Storage


  • ADDSiL™ 1214 is available in 25Kg pails or 200Kg drums.


  • When stored at temperatures between 10°C and 35°C in the original unopened containers, ADDSiL™ 1214 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production.
