Introduction

SiSiB® WR1305 is a water-thinnable, solvent-free emulsion of polysiloxane modified with functional silicone resin. It is used in aqueous masonry coatings and aqueous primers to enhance water repellency, water resistance and water-vapour permeability. It also improves the processability and antiblock characteristics of the aqueous coatings.

Application

SiSiB® WR1305 is suitable for silicone resin emulsion paints and plasters, silicate emulsion paints and plasters, highly filled emulsion coatings, whitewash emulsions, interior paints, stoppers, and reinforcing stoppers.

SiSiB® WR1305 may be incorporated undiluted into water-based masonry coatings and primers, either during production or afterward. It is recommended to use one percent by weight in masonry coatings and five percent by weight in primers.

To prepare a water-repellent primer, dilute SiSiB® WR1305 with water at a ratio of 1 part product to 7 parts water by weight. When such primers must also strengthen the substrate, include a polymer dispersion in hydrosol form.

For impregnation of insulating materials, SiSiB® WR1305 should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:70 to 1:150 by weight.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® WR1305 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC tote.

SiSiB® WR1305 should be stored under dry conditions, away from direct sunlight. When stored at or below 40°C in the unopened original container SiSiB® WR1305 has a shelf life of at least 12 months. Longer storage times may cause lumping which normally does not affect the performance of the product.

Storage beyond the date does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
