ADDSiL-2008

ADDSiL™ 2008 is a mono-hydroxy functionalized silicone copolymer featuring a primary hydroxymethyl (-CH₂OH) terminal group. This functional group exhibits significantly higher reactivity than conventional silanol-terminated silicones. Through reaction with isocyanates, it allows the incorporation of silicone segments into polyurethane systems, enhancing properties.

Application


ADDSiL™ 2008 is suitable for use in both waterborne and solventborne systems. It can be added at any stage of the formulation process. Typical use areas include:


  • Polyurethane modification


  • Release coatings and liners


  • Synthetic leather finishing


  • Water- and oil-repellent treatments


  • Functional additives for anti-fouling or anti-blocking

Packing and Storage


ADDSiL™ 2008 is available in 25Kg pails.


When stored at temperatures between 10°C and 35°C in the original unopened containers, ADDSiL™ 2008 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production.
