ADDSiL™ 1223 is an aralkyl-modified polysiloxane surface additive designed for solvent-borne coating systems. It slightly reduces surface tension, improves surface slip, and provides excellent leveling and defoaming performance. The additive exhibits outstanding thermal stability and does not impair intercoat adhesion even at elevated curing temperatures up to 250 °C.

ADDSiL™ 1223 is suitable for a wide range of solvent-borne coating systems, including automotive, wood, plastic and industrial coatings.
ADDSiL™ 1223 improves substrate wetting and leveling while effectively controlling foam without stabilizing it. The additive is especially effective in high-solid and matt coatings, where it enhances matting agent orientation and prevents flooding or floating.
ADDSiL™ 1223 also stabilizes flow in curtain coating processes and optimizes the orientation of metallic and effect pigments, contributing to uniform appearance and improved surface quality.
ADDSiL™ 1223 is supplied in 25Kg plastic pail.
When stored at temperatures between 10°C and 35°C in the original unopened containers, ADDSiL™ 1223 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production.
