KOBOND™ 8429 is a highly efficient, silicone-free polymeric defoamer. It provides excellent compatibility and lasting defoaming performance for unsaturated polyester, epoxy, 2K PU, UV-curable, solvent-borne, and solvent-free systems. The additive effectively eliminates process-induced foam, preventing surface defects like pinholes and craters.

Application


  • KOBOND™ 5429 is widely used in unsaturated polyester (SMC/BMC gel coats, synthetic marble), epoxy potting compounds, 2K polyurethane systems, UV-curable coatings, solvent-borne/solvent-free industrial coatings, wood coatings, protective coatings, as well as screen, UV, and transfer inks. It provides effective foam control during manufacturing and application, ensuring smooth surface quality.

Packing and Storage


KOBOND™ 5429 is supplied in 25kg pails and 200Kg drums.


Keep in dry, cool and well-ventilated place. When stored at temperatures between 10°C and 35°C in the original unopened containers, KOBOND™ 5429 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production.
