ADDSiL™ 2470 is an epoxy-functional silicone resin (oligomer) designed to be used as a reactive modifier in high-performance resin systems. The unique combination of a siloxane backbone and epoxy functionality provides coatings and adhesives with superior thermal resistance, flexibility, and chemical durability.
Excellent miscibility with alicyclic epoxy resins
High heat resistance
Low shrinkage during curing due to cyclic siloxane structure
Excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and weathering
Improves flexibility while maintaining hardness and modulus

ADDSiL™ 2470 is widely used as a reactive modifier in epoxy resin systems for coatings, adhesives, inks, and electronic applications. By incorporating this epoxy-functional silicone resin, formulations gain improved thermal stability, higher glass transition temperature, and enhanced flexibility without compromising hardness.
It is especially effective in conformal coatings and UV/thermal cationic curing systems, where it provides excellent chemical resistance, durability against moisture, and low cure shrinkage, making it suitable for high-performance composites and long-term protective finishes.
ADDSiL™ 2470 is available in 25Kg drums.
When stored at temperatures between 5°C and 38°C in the original unopened containers, ADDSiL™ 2470 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production.
