ADDSiL™ 2001 is a carbinol-terminated reactive silicone fluid. The -CH₂OH functional groups exhibit significantly higher reactivity compared to conventional silanol-terminated polydimethylsiloxanes. This enhanced reactivity allows it to effectively incorporate silicone segments into polyurethane, amino resin, or other hydroxyl-reactive systems, improving the final material's flexibility, water resistance, slip, and anti-blocking properties.
High reactivity due to primary hydroxymethyl groups
Incorporates flexibility and hydrophobicity into polymer networks
Enhances slip, hand feel, anti-blocking and mar resistance
Forms a durable low-surface-energy layer
Compatible with various crosslinking systems (isocyanate, melamine)
Color and Appearance | Colorless clear liquid |
Active Content | 100% |
Hydroxyl Value mg KOH/g | 100-120 |
These values are typical and not intended for use in specifications.
ADDSiL™ 2001 is used in polyurethane and amino resin systems to improve flexibility, hydrophobicity, and surface slip. It enhances anti-blocking and stain resistance in coatings, inks, adhesives, and sealants, and imparts a soft touch and water repellency in textile and leather treatments.
ADDSiL™ 2001 is supplied in 25Kg pail or 200Kg steel drum.
In the original unopened packaging, ADDSiL™ 2001 has a shelf life of 24 months.
