SiSiB® PC9284 is a hydride-functional linear siloxane containing highly reactive Si-H bonds. It is also known as 3H,5H-Octamethyltetrasiloxane or 1,3-Bis(trimethylsiloxy)-1,3-dimethyldisiloxane. It is commonly used as a reactive intermediate in hydrosilylation chemistry.

SiSiB® PC9284 is mainly used as a reactive intermediate in hydrosilylation reactions for the synthesis of silicone surfactants, particularly polyether-modified tetrasiloxane surfactants used in polyurethane foam systems.

In the unopened original container SiSiB® PC9284 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
