Introduction


  • SiSiB® WR5053 is a free-flowing powder designed for cementitious dry-mix powder.


  • SiSiB® WR5053 is a redispersible silicone-based hydrophobic powder designed as a high-performance additive. It provides excellent water repellency even at very low dosages without compromising water vapor permeability.


  • Formulated with fine mineral fillers as anti-caking agents, SiSiB® WR5053 ensures easy handling and consistent performance in dry mix systems.

Application


  • SiSiB® WR5053 is designed to improve the water repellency and water resistance of non-load-bearing precast concrete products and mineral building materials (such as ready-mixed plaster, joint mortar, powder coatings, etc.).


  • SiSiB® WR5053 is suitable for dry powder and liquid systems. When properly formulated, it can significantly reduce water absorption, present an excellent lotus leaf effect, have good anti-fouling performance and long-lasting weather resistance.


  • The dosage may vary from 0.2-1.0% (referred to dry material) depending on the application and desired performance.


  • The required dosage should therefore be evaluated in suitable tests prior to the final application.

Packing and Storage


SiSiB® WR5053 is supplied in 15Kg bag.


SiSiB® WR5053 should be stored under dry conditions, away from direct sunlight. When stored at or below 40°C in the unopened original container SiSiB® WR5053 has a shelf life of at least 12 months. Longer storage times may cause lumping which normally does not affect the performance of the product.


Storage beyond the date does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
