Rheology Additive

KOBOND™ 9041 is a liquid rheology additive supplied as a 50% active solution of modified polyurea. It is designed for solvent-borne and solvent-free coating systems.


KOBOND™ 9041 imparts pronounced thixotropic and shear-thinning behavior, providing effective anti-settling and sag resistance while maintaining good flow and leveling. It also helps reduce orange peel and improve the surface appearance of the finished coating.

Application


  • KOBOND™ 9041 is recommended for solvent-borne and solvent-free coating systems requiring improved pigment suspension, storage stability, sag resistance and leveling.


  • Its rheological effect may vary with the binder, formulation polarity and other components. Compatibility and performance should therefore be evaluated in the intended formulation.

Packing and Storage


  • KOBOND™ 9041 is available in 25 kg pail and 200 kg drum.


  • Store KOBOND™ 9041 in a cool, dry place. Keep the container tightly closed and away from heat and sources of ignition.


  • KOBOND™ 9041 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture.
